TickPing ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a simple alarm and timer tool available as a Chrome extension and web app. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data TickPing handles and how.

Summary

TickPing does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All alarm settings are saved locally on your device only.

Information We Collect

TickPing does not collect:

  • Personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • Browsing history or website content
  • Location data
  • Analytics or tracking data
  • Payment or financial information

Data Stored Locally

When you set an alarm, TickPing saves the alarm date and time locally:

  • Chrome extension: stored via chrome.storage.local on your device
  • Web version: stored via localStorage in your browser

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party. You can delete it at any time by canceling the alarm or uninstalling the extension.

Permissions

TickPing requests only the permissions needed to function:

  • storage — to remember your alarm between browser sessions
  • notifications — to alert you when the alarm time is reached

The web version uses the browser's built-in Notification API with your explicit permission. No other device access is requested.

Third-Party Services

TickPing does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. No data is shared with third parties.

Children's Privacy

TickPing does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The extension is a general-purpose utility tool with no age-restricted content.

Data Security

Because all data stays on your device, the security of your alarm settings depends on the security of your device and browser. We recommend keeping your browser and operating system up to date.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of TickPing after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
